Meet April

Hey friends,

I am once again excited to introduce to y’all another guest blogger for The Uncontainable Truth.  April and her family attend our church and we are so honored that she has decided to share her story with all of you.  April’s story is one of hope and truly a remarkable wonder of the power of prayer.  Look for her first post later this week!  Until then, here’s some things you need to know about April:

I’ve been married to Matt for 6 years. After 3 1/2 years of fertility struggles the Lord blessed us with our very own miracle. I was raised in Dothan, AL and came to Montgomery for college. I never intended on making Montgomery my home until I met Matt and fell in love. I have been in Montgomery for 10 years now and really can’t imagine living anywhere else at this time in my life. I work part time for the church currently as an administrative assistant in the “business office”, but my role has been ever evolving allowing me to work in many areas, such as media and music ministry. I have a deep passion for encouraging teens to live a life of purity, and with my recent past dealing with fertility issues I want others to know they are not alone in their struggles or pains. I feel it is important to tell my story to not only encourage those struggling today, but to also educate those who don’t know much about the process, heartache, and joys the journey of fertility struggle can bring. I want to primarily focus on telling my story through this blog outlet. I maintain a personal blog to keep our family updated on the exciting things going on in our life and to keep written memories of Amy Kate’s progress as she grows. I came to know the Lord and understand his love for me around the age of 12, and have always known I would work in the ministry some how; I never imagined I would literally work for the church but am proud to say that is where my heart’s desire truly is. Most days my job is no work at all,  but simply a joy in my day. Like most young Christian women my age I am aiming to balance life as a woman, wife, mother, and friend, but most importantly I want to please my heavenly Father. I am not always successful at this but hope that one day I can balance it all while walking closely with the one who designed it all.

Till next time, let your light shine!

Blessings, christen
